4. Supertruck Class:

Production based 2 or 4-wheel drive pick-up trucks with any level of modifications. Generally described as production based 6, 8 and 10 cylinder 1/2 - 3/4 ton trucks with any level of modifications. All competitor trucks must be licensed and insured somewhere in the world. All vehicles competing in this class can be any vintage and will be allowed to run almost any level of modifications. Tires must be DOT legal and at least V-rated. We encourage the use of aftermarket roll-bars and competition harnesses and Hans devices, however they are not mandatory competitors must wear Snell 2005 or newer DOT certified automotive helmets. We also encour . All age competitors to wear fire-retardant racing suits, gloves and shoes, however they are not mandatory.

This Category includes: Most domestic and internationally manufactured gas and diesel/turbo diesel trucks. We expect SRT10 and heavily modified turbo diesel trucks to be the main participants in this class.

5. Superbike Class:

Production-based two (2) wheeled motorcycles with performance modifications permitted. These vehicles must be registered and street legal. We will require bike safety equipment including: axle nut safety wiring, a tethered style kill switch, and duct-taped or removed signal lenses and headlights. All competitors must wear Snell M2005 or newer, DOT legal full face motorcyle helmets, as well as leather or Kevlar one-piece or zipped two-piece style protective riding gear, protective riding boots and armored gloves.

Third Party Competitor Sponsorships:

We actively encourage you to bring your vehicle sponsors along for the ride! With broadcast news, cable TV coverage, photographic and video coverage of the event sure to go viral on the web, Race the Base 2012 presents an excellent opportunity to promote sponsor companies. Vehicle vinyl wraps, on-car decals, helmet and driving suit logos, team wear, 2 x 3 foot sandwich boards, and hero postcards are all acceptable forms of promotion.

We will list your sponsor names in our event guide and may include their logos subject to room and appropriate digital file format being provided. Your digital competitor plate (live big screen coverage) will also include your sponsor info for viewing by all the spectators in attendance.

Your sponsor may also wish to purchase additional promotional opportunities related to the event. Additional opportunities include: large format grounds banners, event guide advertising, big-screen video advertising slots, and live or recorded audio broadcast commercials. There will also be various event sponsorship packages available as indicated in our official event Sponsorship/Advertising Guide available for download at here.

Exceptions: We require that you provide your list of vehicle/personal sponsors prior to July 31, 2012. However, we encourage you to include your sponsorship information at the time of your registration. We also require that all competitors display our provided event number plates on either side of your vehicle in a visible manner. The size and form of these plates has yet to be determined but for reference, they will be similar and slightly larger than the 2010 version. We also reserve the right to reject the publishing or displaying offensive and/or non family friendly sponsor logos and or brands.
